Friends of FASD

Friends of FASD is a non-profit 501(c)3 founded to raise awareness and understanding for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Our annual 5K raises funds for small grants for children in Michigan with FASD.

What is FAS or FASD?

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) are both umbrella terms that describe the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy.

Alcohol can cause irreversible brain damage on an unborn child and these effects may include physical, mental, behavioral, and learning differences.

There is no reversal or cure for FASD, only therapies, strategies, love and patience to help support those with FASD.
